Question 1

What is Tribe AccredAI™?

Accepted Answer

Tribe AccredAI™ is an enterprise operating system for accreditation and compliance teams. It unifies frameworks, programs, evidence, narratives, reviews, and finalization in a single workspace.

Question 2

Who is Tribe AccredAI™ built for?

Accepted Answer

Universities, colleges, schools, training institutions, and multi-program organizations preparing for or operating under accreditation, quality assurance, and compliance frameworks.

Question 3

How do I create a workspace?

Accepted Answer

When you sign up, AccredAI guides you through creating your institutional workspace — naming the institution, setting up your first division and program, and uploading the frameworks in scope.

Question 4

How do I create a division?

Accepted Answer

Open Divisions in the sidebar and click New division to add a college, school, campus, or business unit. You can also reorganize divisions visually from Org structure.

Question 5

How do I create a program?

Accepted Answer

Open Programs in the sidebar and click New program. Give it a name, pick the division it belongs to, and attach an accreditation framework so its standards load automatically.

Question 6

How do I invite team members?

Accepted Answer

Open Team in the sidebar, enter email addresses, choose a role, and send invitations. Invitees receive a secure link to join the workspace.

Question 7

How do I assign roles?

Accepted Answer

Roles are managed under Team → Roles & permissions. AccredAI supports Owner, Admin, Director, Lead, Contributor, Reviewer, and read-only Executive, scoped at the workspace, division, or program level.

Question 8

How long does implementation take?

Accepted Answer

Most institutions onboard their first program within a few weeks. Phased rollouts across multiple divisions or campuses are supported and recommended for larger organizations.

Question 9

Is there a guided tour or help inside the app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. New users see an onboarding tour that walks through the core workspace, and the Help & FAQ page is always available from the sidebar with a browsable knowledge base and an AI assistant that answers from official documentation — with optional audio readback.

Question 10

Does Tribe AccredAI™ address the 2026 proposed accreditation rule?

Accepted Answer

We maintain a plain-language summary of the August 2026 federal proposal (Accreditation Innovation and Modernization) on our public site, including what the platform already supports today and what we're watching as the rule develops. Features like outcome decision loops, program cost and value context, and substantive change tracking align with the proposal's direction.

Question 11

How do I add an accreditor or framework?

Accepted Answer

Open Frameworks in the sidebar and click New framework to upload an accreditation manual. AccredAI turns it into a structured workspace of standards and criteria you can attach to programs.

Question 12

How do I configure accreditation standards?

Accepted Answer

Open a framework from the Framework library to browse its standards tree. You can edit criterion language and required artifacts to match your institutional context.

Question 13

How do I map evidence to standards?

Accepted Answer

From a criterion, link evidence directly from your evidence library or accept AI-suggested mappings. Evidence mapped once can be reused across criteria, programs, and frameworks.

Question 14

How do I monitor accreditation readiness?

Accepted Answer

The Readiness page rolls up coverage, approvals, freshness, and progress across your programs into a single live view, with insights surfacing what needs attention.

Question 15

How do I identify accreditation risk?

Accepted Answer

Readiness insights surface evidence gaps, low-coverage programs, stale evidence, open revision requests, and slipping milestones so issues are visible before they affect a submission.

Question 16

How do I generate accreditation reports?

Accepted Answer

From Finalization, the Submission Readiness Center previews deliverables for a project. Once a project is ready, exports become available and can be shared with leadership or external reviewers.

Question 17

How do I prepare a self-study or submission package?

Accepted Answer

Open Finalization to see the Submission Readiness Center. It tracks criterion completion, evidence coverage, open revisions, and previewed deliverables, and lets you export once everything is approved.

Question 18

How do I track progress across programs?

Accepted Answer

Readiness gives an institution-wide rollup of every program, and each program's project pages show standard-by-standard status, owners, and recent activity in one place.

Question 19

What are substantive changes and how do I track them?

Accepted Answer

Substantive changes are significant institutional events — new programs, new locations, modality shifts, credit-hour changes, ownership changes, or closures — that accreditors typically require to be reported or approved. The Substantive Changes workspace lets you record each change, link it to a program, move it through statuses from draft and internal review to submitted and approved (or conditioned), and manage any conditions with owners and due dates.

Question 20

How do I track outcome decision loops?

Accepted Answer

Each program supports outcome loops that capture the full improvement story: what the metric or assessment showed, the decision your team took in response, and the follow-up. This documents 'closing the loop' — the evidence-informed decision-making accreditors increasingly expect — right alongside the program it belongs to.

Question 21

How do I document program cost and value?

Accepted Answer

Each program includes a value context card where you record cost, tuition, and value notes. This keeps program-level cost and value context visible alongside readiness, so it's available when narratives or reports need to speak to program value.

Question 22

What are the Evidence Appendix and Submission Manifest?

Accepted Answer

They are previewable deliverables in the Finalization Submission Readiness Center. The Evidence Appendix lists the evidence backing your submission; the Submission Manifest summarizes criterion status across the project. You can preview and download each as PDF or DOCX, and finalization is gated until the readiness checks are complete.

Question 23

What happens if I edit a project after downloading an export?

Accepted Answer

Finalization detects when a project has been edited after an export was downloaded and shows a stale-export warning, so you know a fresh export is needed before sharing the package. You can re-download updated deliverables as many times as needed.

Question 24

Does the Accreditor Edition use AI?

Accepted Answer

No — accreditor-side review, clarification, and decision workflows are human-driven and use no generative AI today. What accreditors do see is the applicant's AI provenance: every formal submission carries a metadata-only record of which sections were AI-assisted, the model family, and the human who approved them, so reviewers — including accreditors serving EU-based institutions under the EU AI Act — can verify AI disclosure as part of their review. If AI assistance is ever added for accreditors, it will carry the same labelling, human-approval, and audit record the rest of the platform uses.

Question 25

What is the Accreditor Edition?

Accepted Answer

The Accreditor Edition is the accrediting body's side of Tribe AccredAI™. Instead of preparing a self-study, an accrediting organization uses it to define its programs and criteria, open review cases for applicant institutions, receive formal submissions, run criterion-by-criterion review, request and track clarifications, and carry cases through to a commission decision.

Question 26

How does an accrediting body get started?

Accepted Answer

Choose the accrediting body option at signup instead of an institution. That creates an accrediting workspace and starts the accreditor onboarding flow, where you name your organization, set up the programs or frameworks you accredit, and invite your review staff. Institutions continue to sign up and work exactly as before.

Question 27

What accreditor roles are available?

Accepted Answer

Accreditor admins configure programs and criteria, open cases, assign reviewers, and manage the workspace. Appraisers review assigned cases criterion by criterion, record findings, and request clarifications. Commission members see cases that have reached the commission stage and record the final decision. Access is enforced on the server, so a role only sees the cases and actions it is entitled to.

Question 28

How do I set up programs and open a case?

Accepted Answer

In the accreditor management area you define the programs you accredit and the criteria that apply to them. From there you open a case for an applicant institution, attach the relevant program, and assign the appraisers who will review it. The case then moves through statuses from intake and review to clarification, commission, and decision.

Question 29

How does an institution's submission reach the accreditor?

Accepted Answer

When an institution completes its readiness checks on the Finalization page, it can submit the formal package. That creates a point-in-time submission snapshot on the accreditor's case — narratives, criterion status, and supporting deliverables — so reviewers work from exactly what the institution submitted rather than a moving target.

Question 30

How does criterion review work?

Accepted Answer

Appraisers open the case workspace and work through the criteria one at a time, recording a finding for each — for example met, not met, or more clarification needed — along with review notes. Progress is visible at the case level so an admin can see how much of the review is complete without opening every criterion.

Question 31

How do clarification requests work?

Accepted Answer

When a criterion needs more information, a reviewer raises a clarification on the case. The case moves to a clarification-requested status, and the request, the institution's response, and the reviewer's follow-up stay attached to the criterion so the full exchange is part of the case record.

Question 32

What does the commission view do?

Accepted Answer

Once review is complete, a case can be moved to the commission stage. Commission members see the case summary, criterion findings, and clarification history, then record the decision with a decision note and date. The decision is stored on the case as part of its permanent record.

Question 33

What does the accreditor dashboard show?

Accepted Answer

The dashboard gives a portfolio view across cases: where each case sits in the workflow, which reviewers are assigned, what is waiting on clarification, and what is queued for a commission decision — so an accrediting body can manage volume and cycle time rather than tracking cases in spreadsheets.

Question 34

What do accreditors see about AI use in a submission?

Accepted Answer

Each submission carries a metadata-only AI provenance summary: how many sections were AI-assisted, the model family involved, and the human who approved each one. If a submission still contains AI-assisted content that has not completed human review, the case workspace flags it. Reviewers can therefore verify AI disclosure — including for institutions in EU jurisdictions under the EU AI Act — without seeing prompts or underlying evidence content.

Question 35

Can I see the Accreditor Edition without setting up a workspace?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The demo experience includes accreditor roles with sample cases, criterion findings, clarifications, and commission decisions, so you can walk the reviewer perspective end to end before configuring your own workspace. Demo data is illustrative only and is never mixed with live workspace data.

Question 36

How does AI fit into the accreditation workflow?

Accepted Answer

AI helps with the heavy lifting — suggesting evidence mappings, drafting narratives from approved evidence, and surfacing gaps in Readiness. Every suggestion is reviewable and humans always approve before anything is finalized.

Question 37

How does AI-assisted evidence mapping work?

Accepted Answer

AI analyzes uploaded evidence against the language of each standard and proposes candidate mappings with a confidence indicator. Reviewers accept, edit, or reject each suggestion — nothing is auto-applied silently.

Question 38

How does AI generate accreditation narratives?

Accepted Answer

On a criterion, AI drafts a narrative grounded in the evidence you have already mapped, plus institutional context. Drafts are a starting point — your team edits, cites, and approves.

Question 39

How are citations created?

Accepted Answer

AI-generated narratives reference the specific evidence items they were drafted from, so reviewers can open the source document and verify each claim before approving.

Question 40

Can AI write a complete submission?

Accepted Answer

AI can scaffold an entire submission package from approved evidence and prior narratives, but nothing reaches Finalization without human authorship, review, and sign-off. AccredAI accelerates; your team owns.

Question 41

How do humans review AI-generated content?

Accepted Answer

AI output drops into the normal narrative editor with version history and comment threads. Contributors revise, reviewers approve in Reviews, and project leads sign off in Finalization.

Question 42

What controls exist for AI-generated output?

Accepted Answer

Admins control who can accept AI suggestions, what evidence AI can draw from, and which features are enabled. AI suggestions and edits are recorded in the activity log alongside human changes.

Question 43

How does Tribe AccredAI™ support responsible AI use?

Accepted Answer

Grounded outputs tied to your evidence, mandatory human approval before finalization, role-scoped data access, full activity history, and no training on your institutional data. AI assists; humans remain accountable.

Question 44

How do I invite reviewers?

Accepted Answer

Open Team in the sidebar, invite reviewers by email, and assign them the Reviewer role. Reviewers see a focused queue in Reviews of items awaiting their sign-off.

Question 45

Can external consultants collaborate?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Invite accreditation consultants from Consultants and scope their access to the programs they support, so they can contribute without seeing the rest of your workspace.

Question 46

What can executives see?

Accepted Answer

Executives have a read-only Executive view of readiness, compliance posture, institutional rollups, and finalization status — designed for strategic oversight, not day-to-day operations.

Question 47

How do comments work?

Accepted Answer

Threaded comments attach to narratives, evidence, and criteria. They stay internal and do not appear in exported submission packages.

Question 48

How does the approval workflow work?

Accepted Answer

Each criterion moves from draft to reviewer approval, then to project sign-off in Finalization. The Submission Readiness Center tracks completion, evidence coverage, open revisions, and previewed deliverables before export.

Question 49

How are permissions managed?

Accepted Answer

Permissions follow the role you assign — Owner, Admin, Director, Lead, Contributor, Reviewer, or Executive — and are scoped at the workspace, division, or program level so people only see what they own.

Question 50

How do reviewers provide feedback?

Accepted Answer

Reviewers comment directly on narratives or evidence, request revisions, and approve or reject criterion-level items from Reviews. Authors are notified and respond in-thread.

Question 51

How is reviewer history preserved?

Accepted Answer

Every comment, approval, edit, and status change is captured in the activity log with user and timestamp, so reviewer history is available for governance and audit.

Question 52

Does Tribe AccredAI™ replace our accreditation staff?

Accepted Answer

No. Tribe AccredAI™ augments your team. It removes operational drag — gathering, mapping, drafting, tracking — so your experts spend time on judgment, narrative, and institutional improvement.

Question 53

How long does it take to roll out?

Accepted Answer

Most institutions onboard core programs within a few weeks. Phased rollouts across multiple colleges or campuses are supported and recommended for large organizations.

Question 54

Which accreditation frameworks are supported?

Accepted Answer

Tribe AccredAI™ supports regional, programmatic, and international quality frameworks through a configurable framework library. New frameworks can be added or customized to match institutional language.

Question 55

Can we map evidence to multiple frameworks at once?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Evidence is mapped once and reused across standards, criteria, programs, and frameworks. Cross-framework reuse is a core design principle.

Question 56

What does the Readiness score represent?

Accepted Answer

Readiness reflects the strength of coverage, evidence quality, review status, and outstanding gaps across each standard. It is calculated continuously, not at submission time.

Question 57

Does Tribe AccredAI™ produce the submission package?

Accepted Answer

AccredAI assembles finalization packages from approved evidence and narratives in the Submission Readiness Center. Your team reviews, edits, and exports before submission.

Question 58

Do you support non-US accreditors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Frameworks are language- and structure-agnostic. Institutions outside the US use Tribe AccredAI™ for national, regional, and international quality assurance bodies.

Question 59

What kinds of evidence can we upload?

Accepted Answer

Documents, policies, syllabi, assessments, datasets, screenshots, and links. Files are versioned, tagged, and mapped to standards. Each piece carries provenance and review state.

Question 60

How is evidence versioned?

Accepted Answer

Each upload is tracked with version history, so previous versions remain auditable. Reviewers can see which version was approved against a given criterion.

Question 61

How does AI suggest evidence mappings?

Accepted Answer

AI analyzes content against standard language and proposes candidate mappings with confidence indicators. Mappings are accepted, edited, or rejected by reviewers — never auto-applied silently.

Question 62

What happens to evidence after a cycle closes?

Accepted Answer

Closed-cycle evidence moves to the Archive and remains searchable, so it can be referenced or reused in future cycles.

Question 63

Can I create custom supporting tables, like a faculty roster?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Custom Tables let you build ad hoc supporting tables — faculty rosters, advisory boards, equipment inventories, and similar — with column formatting controls and a read-only preview before export. Each table downloads as PDF, DOCX, CSV, or XLSX, and is tracked in the Finalization readiness loop like other deliverables.

Question 64

How is our institutional data protected?

Accepted Answer

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated per institution, and access is role-scoped. Workspace boundaries prevent cross-organization visibility.
